Simply Tasty

I like to cook and try new things...but I also like to keep it simple. I have a 1 year old to look after, so I don't have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen. And with having a toddler, I try to find healthy, good tasting foods that we all can enjoy. I may not have the best photography on my page, I may not always have a successful dish, and they might not all be from scratch. My goal is to share with you what I try, what I like, and maybe even what just doesn't work. Hope you like it :)

Preview for next week

I am still working on my meal plan...but I have some inspiration...Today we went to a Mardi Gras parade and I am learning about the culture here in Louisiana. So in honor of Fat Tuesday this coming week, I am going to attempt to make a King Cake. And I am going to scour my Southern Cooking book for some recipes. :)
